BTS Cares
Bringing the best of BTS for social impact
BTS believes that people make the difference, within organisations, communities and schools all over the world.
School principals, not-for-profit leaders, community champions and micro-entrepreneurs … we help them grow their leadership, skills and capability so they can confidently impact their communities. BTS strives to actively contribute to the UN sustainable development goals and add social value in all the work that we do.
Education
BTS founded BTS Spark as a not-for-profit initiative, offering targeted leadership development and coaching to education and non-profit leaders. The BTS Spark team has supported over 20,000 school principals, teachers and not-for-profit leaders in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Singapore, Kenya, Indonesia and other countries – helping them develop their leadership practice so they can lead their communities with confidence.

Sustainability
BTS Spark partners with many diverse not-for-profit organizations – from grassroots community groups to the largest international aid organizations. We support not-for-profit leaders to unlock their leadership potential in order to maximize the impact of their work in local communities. Leaders may engage in one-day workshops, coaching, online learning or customised learning journeys.

Micro-entrepreneurs
BTS has partnered with various organizations to develop simple board-game simulations to help micro-entrepreneurs, farmers, and students to develop their financial literacy and business acumen. These Social Impact Simulations help people in the community learn through experience, placing them into situations that reflect real-life moments.
We typically deliver these in collaboration with local NGOs, using train-the-trainer methods to upskill people in Global South countries to cascade the training.
Over 200,000 people have benefited from BTS social impact simulations. Programs have been delivered in multiple world languages including Albanian, Arabic, Bahasa, Burmese, English, French, Kinyarwanda, Laotian, Mandarin, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian and Uzbekish.

Its wide range of services include community health education, early childhood development and black economic empowerment.
Avo Vision has trained over ½ million people over the last 15 years.
BTS currently owns a 49% share in Avo Vision, enabling majority local ownership within South Africa.
