Mac Quartarone, Ph.D

Director, BTS Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion CoE

Mac has partnered with several clients in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) space, creating workshops and coaching pods, facilitating DEI programs, and partnering with clients on DEI strategy and points-of-view. During his 8 years at BTS, Mac helped found the BTS Global DEI Project Team and BTS USA DEI Committee, formally joining the DEI CoE after 3 years supporting DEI work at BTS, internally and with clients. He has a graduate education in selection and validation, diversity in the workplace, and legal environment of business. Most of Mac’s work involves helping to curate materials for all DEI projects, ensuring that these programs align with our POV and align with current expert and empirical research.

 

His work at BTS began in the Assessment CoE, developing and validating assessments for selection and development, defining various roles at multiple levels within organizations, and developing comprehensive culture fit projects, working to ensure fairness and job relevance. He has transitioned from focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion in the hiring process to expanding DEI efforts across the organization. Mac conducted research in graduate school on diversity topics, specifically in relation to fairness and equity in performance appraisals.
