For decades, identifying and developing “high potential” leaders (HiPos) has occupied a central role in the careers of top industrial-organizational psychologists, talent professionals, CHROs and line executives. Facing the “war for talent” and the uncertainty of the future, effective talent identification and talent management is more important than ever to long-term organizational health and performance. Despite the need, data shows that success in the arena of talent identification and succession has been inconsistent, often falling short of expectations.
The latest research on high-potential identification and development, which was conducted by the Cultivating Leaders Center of Excellence and APG, a subsidiary of BTS. We will also discuss several use cases for a customized and experiential approach to assessment and accelerated development.
